El campeón defensor Argentina, después de una serie de sorteos, cayó en el Grupo A con la participación de Perú, Chile y el ganador del partido de repechaje de la CONCACAF entre Canadá y Trinidad y Tobago.
En el Grupo D, Brasil chocará con Colombia, Paraguay y Costa Rica. En particular, Colombia es el equipo que acaba de derrotar a Brasil en las recientes eliminatorias para la Copa del Mundo de 2026.
De los 4 grupos, el Grupo B es considerado el más interesante al participar México, Ecuador, Venezuela y Jamaica. Junto a Ecuador, Venezuela son los dos equipos que han estado en gran forma recientemente, mientras que Jamaica ha empatado 2-2 con México en la Liga de Naciones de la CONCACAF.

La fase de grupos de la Copa América llevará a los dos mejores equipos de cada grupo a participar en los playoffs. Los play-offs de la CONCACAF se llevarán a cabo el 23 de marzo de 2024.
