El seleccionador de Canadá, Jesse Marsch, ha elegido a Alphonso Davies, lateral del Bayern de Múnich, como capitán de la Copa América. El centrocampista Stephen Eustaquio, que juega en el FC Porto, asumirá el papel de capitán adjunto.
La decisión no es una sorpresa, ya que Davies y Eustaquio han llevado el brazalete de capitán en los últimos amistosos, reemplazando al veterano capitán Atiba Hutchinson, quien se retiró el año pasado.
